About

York Ambulance Association, Inc. is not a division of any town fire departments or hospitals and is a 501(c)3 non-profit, independent agency.    Charitable donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

OUR MISSION

Our mission– created when services began on March 17, 1972 — still remains to provide excellent pre-hospital care to the residents and visitors of the towns we serve. We take great pride in providing affordable, quality care to the towns of York, South Berwick and Rollinsford.

SERVICE

York Ambulance has a 911 crew staffed with a Paramedic and an EMT 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at our York and at our South Berwick Stations.  A third crew also staffed with a Paramedic and an EMT works out of the York Station ready to provide medically necessary inter-facility transfers and provide back-up 911 response if the primary 911 crew is already out on a call.

York Ambulance also offers Wheelchair Van Service for medical and non-medical transportation for clients in our service towns and surrounding areas. This service is not covered by insurance and is billed directly to the patient. It is recommended that you call 24 hours in advance to schedule your trip.
